Products - Commercial Speciality
In some situations, doors may have requirements for performance that are more specialised. That is why Interior Timbers offer a range of Hallmark Speciality Doors to help meet your requirements.
Hospital
In a hospital environment, areas such as the x-ray department have special needs when it comes to protection. Radiation-shielding doors can be manufactured by Interior Timbers, with the door and doorframe specially treated with lead to offer continued protection.
The hospital environment is also at risk from potential contaminants and this is why Interior Timbers also offer an antibacterial guard for their doors. They have introduced a range of doors suitable for hospital and/or rest home use utilising a selection of HPL or GRP door facings that can have antibacterial or fire-retardant additives in the gel coats- an ideal choice for doors in public places such as hospitals, rest homes or schools.
Education
Interior Timbers understand that doors used within a schooling situation must be able to withstand the wear and tear that comes with a busy environment. But they also realise that safety is an important part of their business too.
Traditionally, fire safety doors shut automatically, allowing the potential for small fingers to be crushed within the hinges. A special pivotal hinge can be implemented into the Hallmark door design to prevent accidents from occurring, whilst keeping the design and functionality of the door (including fire resistant and antibacterial properties) paramount.
Acoustic
Hallmark Doors have an ongoing research programme with the University of Canterbury, developing and continually improving their acoustic door designs with an STC of 34-45 and a focus on minimal door thickness. Doors are designed to meet special acoustic requirements and incorporate special seal techniques to help reduce sound where needed while still maintaining important design components.
Fire Doors
Interior Timbers have a range of fire doors which have been tested and approved under 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute fire exposure intervals. The range is being constantly added to and new innovation, approval and testing is ongoing. Fire doors are fitted with intumescent smoke seals and approved hardware systems.
Hotel
Whether it is a certain look you are after or functionality and safety combined into an aesthetically pleasing door, look no further than Interior Timbers. Fire retardant and antibacterial properties can be combined into a door that compliments the style and décor of your hotel, without compromising the functional quality. Vision panels and speciality hardware can be added to complete the look you are after.
